• In a 500 mL Erlenmeyer flask, dissolve 5 grams of potash into 250 mLl of distilled water, then 5 grams of glucose.
• Add 4 drops of a 0.25g / L methylene blue aqueous solution.
• Let the solution rest for 10 seconds (it beaches out…), then stir it (it becomes blue again!)

  CAUTION : potash must be manipulated wearing gloves and safety goggles.
